Lori Dunn, MSW Intern
Lori is an intern currently completing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Oakland University, with an expected graduation in April 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University.
Lori is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. She strives to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore personal growth and healing.
Her approach to therapy is rooted in traditional talk therapy and guided by a strength-based perspective, helping clients recognize and build upon their inherent resilience and capabilities.
Lori has experience working with individuals navigating mental health concerns and substance use disorders, and she is committed to helping clients develop insight, coping strategies, and positive change in their lives.

Outside of her studies, Lori loves music and singing—she has even had the incredible experience of performing at Carnegie Hall.

She enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures, finding inspiration in the people and places she encounters.

When at home, she finds peace and joy in gardening, nurturing life both in and out of the therapy room.
