Shawyn Moldowan, LLPC
Shawyn is a Limited License Clinical Counselor who has spent her career working with children, adolescents and adults in a clinical setting. Shawyn received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Wayne State University, then graduated in 2016 from Oakland University with a Master’s in Counseling with a specialization in mental health therapy.
Shawyn’s goal is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for each client to heal and grow to be the best version of themselves. Shawyn has experience working with brain injuries and those suffering from trauma experiences. Through strength based-based approaches, along with natural healing through nutrition, vibrations and music, mindfulness, meditation, play therapy and art therapy techniques, together with traditional techniques like person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy, Shawyn feels the mind and body work together to form holistic healing from the inside out. Shawyn believes each individual, is unique to their own healing, and as a counselor she designs therapy goals to fit the needs of each individual to provide the best outcome for the counseling experience.
